When will You Going to Learn that Texas Hold’em Poker is All About Position!

I’ve been playing poker now for about 5 years, I have bet cards my entire life starting with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various forms of Brag and general random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so eloquently called, card on head game. I used to often win, whatever game we were betting and although I liked to call it skill, it was incredibly tough to justify thinking about the randomness of the games we were wagering, so I was pleased to accept I was having a prolonged run of luck.
Then came Poker, or a lot more importantly Hold’em Poker, made famous by a group of Texas card gamblers in the sixties and since developed into one of the biggest card phenomena ever seen. Poker is absolutely the new black, it can be ultra cool with many of the world’s top superstars racing to have their name connected with it. Just a quick flick through the TV channels nowadays and you can not escape from poker, and naturally there’s the fabled WSOP, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for each single player.
So with all of this new discovered popularity, with so a lot of Television shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves loaded up with quality material written by the foremost minds on poker, when are people going to understand that this game is all about position!?
Perhaps I need to not receive so worked up about this, after all the additional persons who struggle with the subtle techniques and methods necessary for succeeding consistently at Holdem, the far better it really is for everyone else, appropriate?
