Caribbean Poker Codes and Hints

Online poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers attain 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning wager, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the wager is the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a figure equal to the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money even with your ante and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
